The Rabun Amateur Radio Club is the current incarnation of organized amateur radio activity in Rabun County, Georgia — revived in 2024 after several prior versions of the club had come and gone over the years. The current club was organized by David Gottschalk, N4TS, and its first meeting drew a healthy attendance of both newly licensed operators and veteran ham radio enthusiasts, signaling strong community interest in bringing a local club back to the mountains of Northeast Georgia.

The club maintains an impressive network of repeaters across the Rabun County area, providing reliable communication infrastructure for members and the broader amateur radio community.

The club holds a net on the first Monday of every month at 7:00 PM. Topics vary from month to month, making each net a unique gathering of local hams.

In-person club meetings are held quarterly at the Rabun County EMA / Search and Rescue building at 145 Syrup City Road in Tiger, Georgia, on Saturday mornings at 10:00 AM. All licensed amateur radio operators and those interested in the hobby are welcome to attend.
